Some time ago we received a letter from our sponsored child Nakimera Maria from Uganda, which we were very happy about. We have been accompanying her since 2013 and in the meantime she has grown into a teenager.
Coxem has introduced a new model of its compact ion mill CP-8000+. The device supports the standard cutting (“cross-sectioning”) and polishing (“flat milling”) modalities and can be operated intuitively via the integrated touchscreen.
Within the framework of rising electricity prices and declining certainty of supply, we took an initiative at an early stage to reduce consumption in our company. Since the operation of our devices and analysis methods permanently requires electrical energy, this topic presents us with a major challenge.
A year and a half ago we installed a Coxem EM-30N at the Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE). This mosaic shows a 3-point bending fracture in a deformed wood sample. With the standard integrated panorama module from Coxem, 169 individual images of a microtome section of the fracture site were collected at 200x magnification with the secondary electron detector and automatically stitched.

We supported Bruker Nano in the world's first commissioning of a compact EBSD system on our Coxem Tabletop SEM-EDX. The installation went smoothly and after one hour we were able to record the first EBSD mappings ‒ Important step for the market introduction of the EBSD technology for SEM-EDX tabletop devices.
For our accredited test laboratory in Karlsdorf-Neuthard, we immediately seek a customer-oriented, independent laboratory technician or laboratory assistant in full-time or part-time (80%).
